Morning Medicine Mondays at 8:30am - 9:00am EST

In our morning medicine sessions this month we will explore the ‘endless ceaseless striving’ often so deeply embodied in our nervous system, that it can be a default way of being. We will work specifically with states of arrousel that keep us caught. These states of arrousal are conditioned by our earliest experiences, collectively reinforced and generationally informed. We will practice with inviting and expanding our capacity for; calm, a grounded connection, curiosity, and nourishing care. Our practice in July will support a deeper connection to restful states in our nervous system that allow for clarity and connection.
This session is a weekly practice group that happens on zoom and in-person at Evergarden (zoom only for July). We meet at Monday 8:30am EST to 9am EST each week. In the session you will be guided through a practice from various psychotherapeutic and healing traditions including; mindfulness, somatic, depth, systems, expressive and creative arts and more. This group will help you to; navigate stress, build mind-body connection, develop insight into yourself, deepen your capacity for grounding, cultivate positive emotional states. The group is come as you are, no prior knowledge necessary, the focus is on practice, you will not be asked to share, most participants keep camera off and settle into their own process. If you cannot make the live time a recording will be uploaded to morning medicine on our community portal. Our practice community is global, we have people joining from around the world, allowing for a rich collective experience.

Our sunrise session we will do a gratitude cultivation and engage in intuitive poetry of finding our first words of the day. Come and give it a try.
Our sunrise session will follow the sunrise on eastern standard time, I open the zoom session at 5:45, with weather permitting, camera facing the rising sun please feel free to join and settle in, the session reflection will begin at 6am for 10min.

Midday Movement- Rest and Reset Wednesday 1pm - 1:30pm EST
In-person and virtual by zoom
In July, midday movement will continue to invite a pause, a moment to reset within your nervous system. Led by Madison, she will teach and guide us through the eight phase movement of the brain dance (breath, tactile, core-distal, head-tail, upper-lower, body-side, cross lateral and vestibular). The brain dance, developed by Anne Green Gilbert is a somatic movement therapy that supports focus and energizes our attunement and alignment with our self. Join Madi on Wednesdays to explore these eight body patterns in your own body. You will leave refreshed, reset, and energized for the rest of your day.
