Morning Medicine Mondays at 8:30am - 9:30am EST
This session is a weekly practice group that happens on zoom and in-person at Evergarden. We meet at Monday 8:30am EST to 9am EST each week. In the session you will be guided through a practice from various psychotherapeutic and healing traditions including; mindfulness, somatic, depth, systems, expressive and creative arts and more. This group will help you to; navigate stress, build mind-body connection, develop insight into yourself, deepen your capacity for grounding, cultivate positive emotional states. The group is come as you are, no prior knowledge necessary, the focus is on practice, you will not be asked to share, most participants keep camera off and settle into their own process. If you cannot make the live time a recording will be uploaded to morning medicine on our community portal. Our practice community is global, we have people joining from around the world, allowing for a rich collective experience.
With a mental-health focus guiding our practice sessions this month, we will spend creative quality time with pathologies, those clinical conditions we all know. We will explore; anxiety, panic, depression, obsessive thoughts, compulsions, and dissociation. These conditions sit on the spectrum from either too normalized to too pathologized. When in fact these conditions are the language of our subconscious and the language of our nervous system. We will explore these as mysterious companions showing up to help us find our way. As always each week will be geared towards practice and applicability to your life experience. These explorations will be wrapped in the container of compassion practices, it is only with the deep well of compassion that what ails us can transform.
Midday Movement- Rest and Reset Thursday 12pm - 12:30pm EST
This session is a gentle somatic oriented movement session where Madi will lead you through guided practice to aid a gentle deep rest and reset during your week. This month will emphasis the rest and digest state in our nervous system.
Madi will guide a practice that invites your parasympathetic nervous system online. This state is known as ”rest and digest" because it promotes relaxation and energy conservation. When in this state we are able to; rest, repair, digest, and relax. This state is associated with many bodily functions essential that are often restricted when we don’t take time down shift into the parasympathetic state. .
Special session - Working with preverbal embodied experiences
Wednesday, May 28th at 12pm to 1pm EST zoom and in-person
We all have preverbal embodied experiences encoded into our nervous system before we even remember learning them. Before we even agreed to the lessons. Our nervous systems are being built, conditioned, and responding to stimuli before we are even born. The basic grooves of our nervous systems relationship to; trust, fear, anxiety, impulse control, initiative, etc, are built in our first years of life. These preverbal embodied experiences show up in our lives as beliefs, emotions, impulses, sensations. In this session you will learn how to bring attention and awareness to the way they show up for you, to make the unconscious conscious so you can create new conscious patterns to direct your life.

Our sunrise session we will do a gratitude cultivation and engage in intuitive poetry of finding our first words of the day. Come and give it a try.
Our sunrise session will follow the sunrise on eastern standard time, I open the zoom session at 5:45, with weather permitting, camera facing the rising sun please feel free to join and settle in, the session reflection will begin at 6am for 10min.
