AMY HUPE
Ma, LMHC, REAT
I am an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist; trained as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT).
My approach to psychotherapy integrates alternative, holistic, and traditional healing practices with mental health psychotherapies. I work with individuals of all backgrounds in the areas of grief and loss, anxiety, depression, adjustment and transitions, and disorders of stress and dysregulation. I specialize in complex cases, trauma, and international development work.
My practice includes expressive arts, somatic body-based techniques, mindfulness practice, depth psychologies, and narrative and parts approaches. My practice is a non-pathologizing, inclusive, affirming, and strength-based approach to wellness.
I believe in our innate capacity to heal that sometimes just needs a catalyzing presence for this natural process to unfold. As a client, you can expect a clear and collaborative experience of care. We will design a care plan based on your needs, strengths, and goals. I'd love to connect and explore working together.
